Orleans Public Library Hosts Monthly Homeschool Connections Meetups

Local Homeschool News: Indiana

Homeschool families in Orange County, Indiana have a new place to meet. The Orleans Public Library launched Homeschool Connections, a free monthly gathering, in partnership with Purdue Extension-Orange County (WBIW).

The program is open to homeschool families at any stage. Parents can join Homeschool 101, an informal session led by experienced homeschool parents. They share tips and resources and answer questions. Veteran families are welcome to swap ideas and talk about curriculum, too.

While parents meet, kids play icebreaker games and get to know each other. Organizers want the meetups to become a welcoming place to build friendships and find support.

The program is free, but you must register in advance. Call the Orleans Public Library at (812) 865-3270 or stop by the front desk. The State of Indiana events calendar lists the next sessions at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10 and Tuesday, December 8.
