Northern Illinois Homeschool Flag Football League Plays for a Title
Local Homeschool News: Illinois
Homeschool athletes in northern Illinois had their own football postseason this fall. The Northern Illinois Homeschool League began its playoffs in late October (Rockford News First).
The league is a competitive flag football league for homeschool teams and athletes in the region. It has been around for four years. This season it had eight teams at the 17U level and about seven at the 13U level.
Divine Mercy and Forest City advanced to the championship game. It was set for 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 31, at First Free Rockford on North Mulford Road.
Leagues like this give homeschooled teens a chance to compete, build teamwork, and play for a title, just like their public school peers. If your child wants to play, ask local homeschool groups about sports leagues near you. Our Illinois Homeschool Groups page is a good place to start.
